FAQ

What does the full course program consist of?

The full course program consists of 30 hours online theory instruction and 10 hours of in-vehicle training. These are the Ministry requirements for certification eligibility.

Can I join the course at any time?

Yes, you can join the online course at any time.

Can I start the course without my G1?

Absolutely! You can start the online course without your G1, and begin the in-car training once you obtain it. Please note that the Ministry of Transportation requires that courses be completed within one year in order to be eligible for certification. You must ensure you give yourself enough time to obtain the G1 and complete 10 hours of in-car training.

Do I have to finish my online course before I start my in-car training?

It is highly recommended for students to complete the theory before jumping into the practical training; however, online course completion is not a requirement for beginning your in-car training. We allow our students to do both course components at the same time to allow for faster course completion. You may begin your in-car lessons before or after completing the online course. It's your choice!

What is the schedule for online classes?

Online classes are 24/7, no schedule is required.

Are the 10 hours of driving lessons enough?

As required by the Ministry of Transportation, a minimum of ten (10) hours are to be completed for certification eligibility. Your in-car instructor will advise you if extra practice is needed. If you feel that ten hours are not enough, we offer additional individual driving lessons as well as packages for extra practice. The more you drive, the more confident you will be in yourself when it comes to your road test. Practice makes perfect!

How fast can I complete the online lessons?

The online course will allow you to complete up to 5 hours a day, so this course can be completed within one week.

How long do I have to finish the course?

You must complete all of the requirements for certification within one year of your starting date.

Can I get a discount on my insurance with the certificate?

All students who earn their BDE certification may be eligible for their insurance discount. The Driver's License History (DLH) provides proof of successful completion of and graduation from a Beginner Driver’s Education (BDE) course.

When will I get my certificate?

Your certification will be processed once the 30 hours theory instruction and 10 hours of in-vehicle training are complete. These are the Ministry requirements for certification eligibility. After you complete the BDE course, we will certify you at MTO system and notify by the email you provided when you registered.

How soon can I go for my G2 road test?

If you take our Ministry approved course, you will be eligible for your G2 road test 8 months after the issue date of your G1. In other words, earning your Beginner Driver Education certificate will reduce the waiting period by four months!

Would I be able to use my instructor's car for the road test?

Yes you can use the instructor's car for an additional cost, unless you choose the BDE Gold Course which includes the use of the car and one lesson before the road test at the nearest location. We strongly recommend opting to use your instructor’s vehicle for the road test as students will feel most comfortable driving the car that they have learned in. Additionally, the school roof sign on top of the car will alert other drivers on the road that the student is a beginner.

Is there a payment plan?

Yes, we have flexible installment plans available; however the full balance must be paid prior to beginning the in-car training.

What is your refund policy?

Full course is eligible for a refund within 10 days from the day you start the online course. Registration fee $50 and in car driving lessons aren’t refundable.
